LODGE MANAGER
Lia will be the first person you talk to when you make your reservation and the last person to wave goodbye to you as your boat pulls away from the dock. Hospitality is her forté, and she strives to make every visit to Port Ashton Lodge special. As a Jill-of-all-trades, Lia makes sure the cabins are clean and comfortable, handles reservations from beginning to end, manages most of the logistics of running a remote wilderness lodge, AND finds time to bake delicious, gooey chocolate chip cookies and other goodies for guests. Thanks to her, the main cabin regularly smells like a bakery.

Originally from Spokane, WA, Lia first came up to Alaska the summer after she graduated high school to work at a salmon cannery in Seward with her mom. She fell in love with Alaska and came back the next summer to work and stay. Eventually, she met Randy, and the rest is history. She's been happily married to 'Handy Randy' for more than 25 years, and has enjoyed raising her 3 grown children at Port Ashton in the summers. The seasonal work has given them fantastic work ethics and taught them to value nature.

Lia's other full time job is as a realtor at Keller Williams Realty Alaska Group. She can assist you with any of your real estate needs, be they commercial, residential, or otherwise.
